Private piano lessons are offered for anyone 6 years or older wanting one-on-one instruction to learn piano for enjoyment or for academic progress in Royal Conservatory levels. Using a variety of teaching methods, students develop a combination of keyboarding skills and musical concepts through engaging and innovative lessons. Beginning students learn the basics of piano such as proper hand position, rhythm and simple five-finger songs. As the lessons progress, skills such as: note reading, sight-reading, ear-training, composition, and theory are integrated into the weekly lessons. Daytime spots are available for homeschoolers.
Regular piano practice (5 days per week) is a required element. Students must have a piano or full size keyboard with touch sensitive/weighted keys at home.

Lesson rates for Private Lessons
1. Deposit:
$50 non-refundable to reserve your child’s lesson spot (deducted from September’s Tuition)
2. Tuition:
Beginner- Gr.1 Royal Conservatory: $918/year or $102/month– 30 lessons (30 mins.), 3 group lessons (1 hr.) & 2 recitals
Gr.2-4 Royal Conservatory: $1,377/year or $153/month– 30 lessons (45 mins.), 3 group lessons (1 hr.) & 2 recitals
3. Books/Materials: Varies according to level
9 monthly post-dated cheques (dated the 1st of each month). *Please note there is a $45 fee for NSF cheques. Fees are due at the first lesson.
